The mission of the John R. Lewis High School Library is to ensure that students and staff are effective and ethical users of ideas and information. Students are empowered to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, and skillful researchers.

Students are welcome before school, after school, during Advisory (with a library pass), lunch time (with a library pass), and during class (with a pass from a teacher) or with a class for instruction.
When do I need a pass to come to the library?
Passes required to come to the library during lunch time, advisory, and class time.
Advisory:
Students who come during advisory must sign in at the reference desk and stay in the library for the remainder of the period.
Lunch time & Class time:
All students must sign in at the reference desk.
Students who come to the library during Lunch Time must stay in the library the entire lunch period.
How do I get a pass to come to the library?
Lunch time and advisory library passes are given out each morning at the library, before 8:05 am.
How do I print in the library?
Students may print school materials in black and white in the library for free. This printer is mapped to student laptops: Lewis HS - Room 053 (Student Library)
Color printing is available, if time and staffing permits. Color printing is 25¢ per page. To print in color you must ask Ms Cruz or one of the librarians for assistance.
