About the Lewis Legacy Project
The Lewis Legacy Project is a whole school event in which each grade level reads a work or works by Congressman John Lewis. The purpose of this project is to learn about our school's namesake, engage in community building, connect to causes that are personally meaningful and begin to take action on those causes.
This project is something all Lewis High School students will experience in their English classes and is a core part of the Lewis Leadership Program.
March, by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell is a graphic novel that tells Congressman's John Lewis' story of growing up in the south on the brink of the civil right's movement.
