  • Do you believe it is reasonable and healthy to live a debt-free (or at least less indebted) life?

  • Do you believe that you have any of the seven traits mentioned in the article? Do you believe that you could begin to cultivate one of these traits?

  • Calculate the real cost of anything you plan to finance using this interest calculator.

  • Considering a car purchase? Calculate the real cost of a car including insurance and finance charges.

After reading, run some numbers using this online compounding interest calculator.

  • P.S. Be reasonable with your interested expectations. Eight percent is a good number for a beginner’s mutual fund.

After watching the video and running a few numbers can you envision starting a savings plan in the near future? 

(Lucky you! You have time on your side. Take advantage of it! Even though you may only be able to save $50 dollars a month with your first job or in your early twenties, think of all that time doing the heavy lifting.)
