Lesson Planning Overview

During the first 2 weeks of school all 10th grade English classes will read March: Book 2.  Below are lesson suggestions and a pacing guide.  Adjust to fit your class needs:

Day 1: Welcome to Lewis High School!

Day 2: Reading Graphic Novels

• Read Aloud Time: 30 minutes (pages 26 - 79)

Day 3: Diving Deeper & Who is John Lewis?

• Read Aloud Time: 30 minutes (pages 80 - 109) 
• Getting to Know John Lewis: Proust Questionnaire (30 minutes)

Day 4: Building Connections

• Proust Questionnaire Continued (student responses: 30 minutes)
• Read Aloud Time: 30 minutes (pages 110-135)

Day 5: Reflection

• Read Aloud Time: 30 minutes (pages 136 - 179)
