Scholarly vs. Popular Sources |
|
Scholarly sources are peer reviewed, meaning that experts in the field review the content for academic value. Scholarly sources are also more in-depth and their purpose is for academic research. Popular sources are reviewed by an editor, not a panel of experts, and are generally more broad in information. These sources may be useful depending on your topic but be aware that their purpose is mostly for news or entertainment.
